One Visit Crowns
CEREC, or CEramic REConstruction, is an advanced computer enabled system that produces dental restorations right in our office.
How CEREC works
Picture CEREC as a mini dental laboratory. First, we use a digital scanner to take a virtual impression of your mouth. Then, we use a computer to help design and refine your replacement crown, veneer, or inlay.
Once we complete the design, we send it to a machine called a ceramic mill. This machine carves your restoration out of a block of ceramic. The milling process takes around 15 minutes.
When the milling is complete we check your restoration for color match and fit, and then we cement it into your mouth.
